Do you offer hard copy proofs?

Printdog offers hardcopy proofs for a fee ranging from $35 to $75 depending on the print product. They are available on the quote calculator for each print product and may not be requested after purchase. These proofs are sent overnight to your shipping address. Hard copy proofs are recommended mainly for color consistency and option comparison, and may be printed on a different paper than that requested in the order. Should additional work (corrections) be needed to make the piece look acceptable or print correctly we will issue you an invoice which you must pay before we send out the proof. Please note that both digital and hard copy proofing will delay your turnaround time. All approvals of proofs must be expressed as a written consent to print.

What is the purpose of an electronic PDF proof?

A press-ready PDF proof is used to review your crops, bleeds, layout, design, and text. It is not an accurate color reproduction of your print printed piece as colors tend to vary on screen. The only way to verify your colors is to request a hard copy proof. Electronic PDF proofs will be emailed to you within one business day unless additional work is needed for the print piece to print to look acceptable or print correctly. If for any reason we find your artwork to be unacceptable we will issue you an invoice for correcting your artwork. This invoice must be paid before the digital proof is emailed. All approvals of proofs must be expressed as a written consent to print. An electronic PDF proof costs $5 for any and all print products.
