File Repairs & Adjustments

When submitting an order to Printdog your print-ready artwork will undergo a flight check before it is sent to the press or prepared for proofing. The flight check converts your document into a print file that is compatible for our printing presses. It will also remove anything that can cause errors during print. It is highly suggested you request a digital proof so you can evaluate the press-ready file to make sure nothing was removed or altered. In the case of an alteration, do not approve the proof and make any necessary changes. Printdog is available to fix files for a nominal fee of $25 per instance.

Our file repairs include, but are not limited to: repairing or adding bleeds, fixing or formatting text and artwork, resizing and/or centering the file, swapping out low resolution images for higher resolution ones (if available), and native to PDF file conversion. Printdog also offers file combination for multi-page booklets and artwork adjustments for folded panels for $35 per instance. A $75 an hour fee will be issued for repairing incompatible files. All repairs and adjustments include a digital proof.

It is highly important for customers to submit ONLY acceptable files. The only file formats we accept are: PDF (Acrobat), TIFF, and EPS. Only copies (color and B&W) will be accepted in PUB (Publisher) and DOC (Word) formats. If anything else, such as JPGs, PSDs, INDs, etc. are submitted to use you will be required to pay a $25 conversion fee before proofing and/or turnaround will begin.

Before turnaround can begin you will be required to pay an invoice over PayPal after reviewing and approving your proof. Failure to pay the invoice in a speedy manner will result in delay of your turnaround. At no point and time after repairs have been requested and work has been done on your file can you cancel your order.
